Abstract

A method for processing an imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic material comprising color developing the silver halide color photographic material with a color developer and then processing the photographic material with a processing solution having bleaching activity, in which the photographic material contains a coupler represented by the following general formula (I) and the replenishment rate of the color developer is not more than 600 ml/m.sup.2 of photographic material: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a group of nonmetallic atoms necessary for forming a 5-membered unsaturated heterocyclic ring together with a ##STR2## R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group; R.sup.3 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aromatic group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, a heterocyclic oxy group or ##STR3## wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 independently represent hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, alkenyl groups, alkynyl groups, aromatic groups or heterocyclic groups; and X represents a group which is eliminable by reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic prima…
