A leading deflector extends upwardly and forwardly from the cutting edge and is formed integral the slicer by a mounting web. The mounting web includes a pair of sides extending rearwardly from the leading deflector and expanding to a heel having first and second sides adjoining respective sides of the syncline shaped slicer and a rear portion.
