Abstract
A liquid crystalline polyester comprising dicarboxylic acid units of the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having from 6 to 18 carbon atoms, diol units of the following formula (2): EQU --OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O-- (2) and p-oxybenzoic acid units of the following formula (3): ##STR2##
