Abstract

Pyridone transfer dyes have the formula ##STR1## where Q.sup.1 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, methyl or a substituted amino radical, PA1 Q.sup.2 is hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine or Q.sup.1 and Q.sup.2 together with the carbon atoms to which they are attached form an aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, PA1 x is a heterocyclic radical, a carboxylic or carboxamide radical or substituted amino radical and PA1 K is an aromatic radical.
