Abstract
The invention relates to tricyclic heterocycles of the formula I ##STR1## wherein X is oxy, thio, sulphinyl, sulphonyl, amino, (1-4C)alkylamino or methylene; PA0 Y is carbonyl or methylene; PA0 each R.sup.1 includes hydrogen, halogeno and various other substituents; PA0 each of m and n is 1 or 2; PA0 A.sup.1, alkylene, alkenylene or alkynylene; PA0 Het is a 5 or 6 membered heteroaryl group optionally bearing particular substituents; and PA0 G is carboxy, 1H-tetrazol-5-yl or a group of the formula: EQU --CONH--SO.sub.2 R.sup.2 PA0 wherein R.sup.2 is (1-4C)alkyl, benzyl or phenyl; PA0 and pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, which possess anti-hyperalgesic properties. The invention also relates to processes for the manufacture of said tricyclic heterocycles; and to novel pharmaceutical compositions containing them.
