Abstract

Pyrimidine 3-oxide derivatives and their use for the treatment of hair loss. The compositions contain in a physiologically acceptable medium at least one compound corresponding to the formula (I): ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 denotes a methyl or NHR.sub.4 group in which R.sub.4 denotes a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group or hydrogen; PA1 R.sub.2 denotes hydrogen or a group NHR.sub.4 in which R.sub.4 has the same meaning as above; R.sub.2 may also denote methyl when R.sub.1 denotes methyl; when R.sub.1 denotes NH.sub.2, R.sub.2 cannot be hydrogen; PA1 R.sub.3 may denote a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group which may optionally carry; PA2 a group OR.sub.5 in which R.sub.5 denotes a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group, PA2 a benzene nucleus which is optionally substituted by one or more C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy groups; PA2 R.sub.3 may also denote a halogen atom or a nitro or amino group; PA2 and the physiologically acceptable acid addition salts.
