Abstract
An electrophotographic method for image formation comprising forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a conductive substrate having formed thereon a photosensitive layer containing a high polymeric arylamine compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein n represents an integer of from 5 to 5000; m represents 0 or 1; y represents 1, 2, or 3; Ar represents ##STR2## wherein R represents a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group, or a butyl group; Ar' represents ##STR3## wherein R is as defined above; X represents an alkylene or isoalkylene group having from 2 to 10 carbon atoms; and Z represents ##STR4## or --Ar--(W).sub.k --Ar--, wherein Ar is as defined above; W represents --CH.sub.2 --, --C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 --, --O--, --S--, ##STR5## (wherein s represents 0, 1, or 2; and R and Ar' are as defined above); and k represents 0 or 1, developing the latent image with a microcapsule toner containing in its core at least a polymer dispersed in a solvent, and transferring the toner image to paper. Copies of satisfactory image quality can be obtained in a stable manner for an extended period of time without being accompanied by the p…
