Abstract

A fluoroalkyl group-containing organosilicon oligomer is represented by the following formula (I) or (IV) of: ##STR1## wherein R, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, X and Y each are the same or different groups and stand for an alkyl, alkoxy or alkylcarbonyloxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, n represents an integer of 1 to 3, m.sub.1 and m.sub.3 represent an integer of 1 to 10, m.sub.2 represents an integer of 0 to 10, m.sub.4 represents an integer of 1 to 5 and R.sub.F represents ##STR2## where A stands for a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom or a chlorine atom, n.sub.1 represents an integer of 1 to 10 and n.sub.2 represents an integer of 0 to 8. A surface treating agent contains the oligomer defined by the formula (I) or (IV).
