Abstract
A colloidal product is provided containing boron and phosphorus obtained by a process comprising: PA1 (1) providing a borated overbased sulfonate selected from the group consisting of a borated overbased alkali metal sulfonate and a borated, overbased alkaline-earth sulfonate; PA1 (2) reacting the borated overbased sulfonate with at least one phosphorus sulfide; and PA1 (3) separating the product obtained.
