Abstract

A compound, a solvate or salt thereof, of formula (I): ##STR1## in which: A is ##STR2## p is 2; ROC-- is an acyl group linked to a substituted or unsubstituted carbocyclic aromatic ring system; PA0 R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are substituents on the same or different carbon atoms and are independently hydrogen or C.sub.1-6 alkyl; and PA0 R.sub.a is a phenyl or thienyl ring, and is useful for the treatment of pain, hyponatremic disease states or cerebral ischemia.
