Abstract

The present invention is directed to an insecticidal composition including irregularly shaped to spherically shaped particles prepared by compaction, in the absence of a binder, of an admixture including ammonium sulfate and at least one insecticidal compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R and R.sup.1 individually are an alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group containing up to 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, an alkyl group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group containing 3 to 8 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group containing 2 to 18 carbon atoms or an alkynyl group containing 3 to 18 carbon atoms, R.sup.3 is hydrogen or an alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and Y is oxygen or sulfur. The present invention is also directed to methods for manufacturing such particles and for killing insects with such particles.
