Abstract

A selective herbicidal composition for controlling grasses and weeds in crops of useful plants is composed of PA1 a) a herbicidally effective amount of a sulfonylurea of the formula I ##STR1## in which ##STR2## R.sub.0 is hydrogen, halogen, methyl or methoxy; R.sub.1 is halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 haloalkoxy, C.sub.1 - or C.sub.2 alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 alkenyloxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 alkynyloxy, C.sub.2 - or C.sub.3 alkynyl, ##STR3## or a radical ##STR4## A and Z independently of one another are nitrogen or methine; D is nitrogen, methine or methylmethine; R.sub.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 haloalkoxy, C.sub.1 - or C.sub.2 alkoxy-C.sub.1 1-C.sub.3 alkoxy, C.sub.4 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyloxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, --COOR.sub.4 or --NR.sub.5 R.sub.6 ; R.sub.4 is C.sub.1 1-C.sub.3 alkyl or 3-oxetanyl; R.sub.5 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sub.6 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or --COR.sub.11 ; R.sub.11 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl; R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl; X is halogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, C.sub.1 - or C.sub.2 haloalkoxy, cyclopropyl, --NHCH.sub.3 or --N(CH.sub.3).sub.2 ; Y is…
