Abstract

This invention has as its object to provide an ink-jet head assembling apparatus, which can improve productivity by omitting the step of temporarily fixing a top plate and a heater board using an ultraviolet curing adhesive. In order to achieve this object, an ink-jet head assembling apparatus of this invention includes a plurality of work stations, an index table, upper and front pressing members, arranged at a position on the index table corresponding to at least one of the plurality of work stations, for holding the top plate on the heater board, and first and second driving mechanisms, arranged outside the index table, for switching the holding member between a holding state wherein the top plate member is held on the heater board, and a non-holding state attained by releasing the holding state.
