Abstract

Information which must be continuously inputted or outputted in time, namely, audio and picture information, are inputted and outputted into a file apparatus as the digital data. Conventionally, the continuous inputting and outputting operations of the audio and the picture information and editing operations such as deletion, insertion and so on could not be made compatible and instantaneous. In the present technique an individual size is continuously stored into a storage media physically, and the input and output of the data and the storage reproduction with the storage media are effected in non-synchronization, with the size of an input/output buffer, a unit of an input/output of the audio and the picture information, and the unit of the editing being the same in size so as to realize instantaneousness and continuous input/output operations of the editing.
