Abstract
The invention is directed to nitrogenous 1,3-substituted adamantanes, their preparation and use in synthesis of inorganic porous solids. The nitrogenous 1,3-substituted adamantanes are compounds having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a nitrogenous moiety selected from the group consisting of --(CH.sub.2).sub.n-1 CONR'.sub.2, --(CH.sub.2).sub.n NR'.sub.2 and --(CH.sub.2).sub.n NR'.sub.3.sup.+ A.sup.-, wherein R' is lower alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, n=1 to 5, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are selected from H and alkyl groups of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and A.sup.- is an anion.
