Abstract
Bridged, chiral metallocenes, processes for their preparation and their use as catalysts Metallocenes of the formula I ##STR1## in which, preferably, M.sup.1 is titanium, zirconium or hafnium, R.sup.1 is a radical ##STR2## in which M.sup.2 is carbon or silicon, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical and are hydrogen or an alkyl group, p is 1 or 2, R.sup.2 is hydrogen or an alkyl group and the radicals R.sup.3 are identical and are halogen or an alkyl group, form, together with an aluminoxane as a cocatalyst, a suitable catalyst system for olefin polymerization.
