Abstract
A process for the preparation of a branched alkoxyalkanoic acid by reacting the corresponding branched alkoxyalkanol with a stable free radical nitroxide in the presence of a NO.sub.X -generating compound at a temperature in the range of from about 0.degree. C. to about 100.degree. C. and thereafter separating out the branched alkoxyalkanoic acid.
