Abstract
The present invention relates to bacteria which can be used as biological control agents for soybean diseases such as those caused by the fungus Rhizoctonia solani. These biological control agents are specific strains of Bacillus megaterium and can also be used for enhancement of soybean plant growth and yield, as well as for the production of antibiotics directed toward crop fungal diseases.
