Abstract

A settable copolymer containing the copolymerization remnants of a fluoridated monomer and an allylic derivative characterized in that: PA1 a) The remnants of the fluoridated monomer are derived from the association of tetrafluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride. PA1 b) The allylic derivative has the formula: ##STR1## with R representing a linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl chain, not saturated, and having 2 to 12 carbon atoms. PA1 R1, R2, R3, and R4, may be identical or different, being chosen from among: H, CH.sub.3, CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.3, OH, CH.sub.2 OH PA1 n is 0 or 1 PA1 p is a value from 0 to 3. This settable copolymer is obtained by copolymerization in solution in an organic solvent. This copolymer is used in powdered paints.
