Abstract
To provide a molded thermoplastic resin article which is composed mainly of a long-fiber-reinforced polyolefin resin and which is excellent in impact strength and exhibits a high thermal deformation temperature. An article molded from a rodlike structure of a long-fiber-reinforced polyolefin resin having a length of 3 mm or above which is prepared by blending a resin component comprising (A) a polyolefin resin and (B) a polyamide resin with (C) a fibrous reinforcement and in which the fibrous reinforcement (C) has a length substantially equal to that of the structure and is arranged substantially in parallel in the lengthwise direction of the structure, wherein the fibrous reinforcement (C) is dispersed in a state enclosed in the polyamide resin (B) in a weight-average fiber length of 1 mm or above and the polyolefin resin (A) and the polyamide resin (B) interpenetrate each other to form a network dispersion.
