Abstract

A method of treating bacterial infections in warm-blooded animals comprising administering to warm-blooded animals an antibactericidally effective amount of at least one compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is ##STR2## Y is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, phenyl optionally substituted with 1 to 3 members of the group consisting of halogen, lower alkyl, --NO.sub.2, --CF.sub.3 and alkoxy carbonyl, X is oxygen and R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of methyl, fluoromethyl, vinyl, phenyl and ##STR3## wherein Z is halogen and p is 1, 2 or 3 and its non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable salts with a base or acid.
