Abstract

Phenylimidazolidine derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## in which, for example, Y denotes --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --CO-- PA1 r denotes 0 to 3 PA1 Z denotes oxygen PA1 W denotes hydroxyl PA1 R.sup.1 denotes --NH--C(.dbd.NH)--NH.sub.2 PA1 R, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 denote hydrogen PA1 R.sup.4 denotes --CO--NHR.sup.5, where --NH--R.sup.5 represents an .alpha.-amino acid radical, have useful pharmacological properties such as inhibition of platelet aggregation and osteoclast binding to the bone surfaces.
