Abstract
A pneumatic radial tire for airplanes comprises a toroidal carcass of at least two carcass plies, a tread rubber superimposed on the carcass, and a belt disposed between the carcass and the tread rubber, in which the belt is comprised of a plurality of radially inner belt plies and a plurality of radially outer belt plies, and each of the radially inner belt plies contains cords extending substantially zigzag at a cord angle A of 5.degree.-15.degree. with respect to the equatorial plane in the circumferential direction while axially being bent at both side ends of the ply, and each of the outer belt plies contains cords having a cord angle B larger than the cord angle A. In this tire, the occurrences of standing wave and cut peel off are prevented with the reduction of tire weight.
