Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of 1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives, some of which are already known, as insecticides and acaricides in plant protection. The compounds, used in accordance with the invention, have the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, or represents in each case optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or heterocyclyl, PA0 R.sup.2 represents hydrogen, nitro, cyano, carboxyl, carbamoyl or halogen, or represents in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio, PA0 R.sup.3 represents hydrogen, nitro, cyano, carboxyl, carbamoyl or halogen, or represents in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio, and PA0 R.sup.4 has the meaning given in the text of the application.
