Abstract

Sulfonylurea derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is unsubstituted or substituted alkyl or phenyl; alkenyl or propargyl, alkylamino or dialkylamino; R.sup.2 is hydrogen, halogen, unsubstituted or substituted methyl, methoxy or ethoxy, alkylsulfonyl, nitro or cyano; PA1 R.sup.3 is difluoromethoxy, trifluoromethoxy, bromodifluoromethoxy, chlorodifluoromethoxy or fluorine; PA1 R.sup.4 is halogen, unsubstituted or halogen-substituted methyl, ethyl, methoxy or ethoxy or is methylamino or dimethylamino; PA1 R.sup.5 is hydrogen, alkyl or alkenyl or alkynyl, and PA1 Z is CH or N, with the proviso that PA1 a) when R.sup.3 is difluoromethoxy, R.sup.1 is not dialkylamino, R.sup.2 is not alkylsulfonyl and R.sup.4 is not methyl or methoxy and PA1 b) when R.sup.3 is fluorine and Z is N, R.sup.4 is not alkylamino, and salts thereof are suitable as herbicides.
