Abstract
N-(tetrahydropyran-4-yloxy-alkanoyl)-staurosporin derivatives of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, hydroxy, lower alkoxy or oxo, PA1 R.sub.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 alkyl and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 alkyl, processes and novel intermediates for the preparation thereof and processes for the preparation of the intermediates are described. The compounds of formula I inhibit the enzyme protein kinase C with a high degree of selectivity and can be used especially as tumour-inhibiting active ingredients.
