Abstract

Described is a method for repelling Aedes aegyptae comprising exposing a three dimensional space inhabitable by Aedes aegyptae to an Aedes aegyptae-repelling effective concentration and quantity of a composition of matter selected from the group consisting of: PA1 (i) 3,7-DIMETHYL-6-OCTENENITRILE having the structure: ##STR1## (ii) 2(3,3-DIMETHYL-2-NORBORNYLIDENE)ETHANOL-1 having the structure: ##STR2## and insect repelling devices containing such compounds.
