Abstract

A method for forming a color photographic image is disclosed. The method comprises steps of PA1 imagewise exposing a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support, and a silver halide emulsion layer and a non-light-sensitive layer each provided on the support, PA1 developing the light-sensitive material with a color developer, and PA1 bleach-fixing the developed light-sensitive material with a bleach-fixing solution, wherein the silver halide emulsion layer or the non-light-sensitive layer contains a compound represented by the following Formula 1 and the color developer contains a chloride in an amount of not less than 6.times.10.sup.-2 moles per liter; ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a tertiary alkyl group; R.sub.2 is a primary or a secondary alkyl group; R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are each an alkyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a phenoxycarbonyl group, an alkoxy group, a phenoxy group or a phenylthio group, the groups represented by R.sub.1, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 or R.sub.5 each may have a substituent and the group represented by R.sub.2 may has a substituent other than a phenyl group.
