Abstract

A releasing composition for an electrophotographic toner, which comprises 60.about.99.5% by weight of a low molecular weight polypropylene (A), and 0.5.about.40% by weight of at least one modified polyolefin (B) selected from the group consisting of (B1) a modified polypropylene comprising a low molecular weight polypropylene (a1) having a melt viscosity at 160.degree. C. higher than that of said polypropylene (A), modified with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof (b1), and (B2) a modified polyethylene comprising a low molecular weight polyethylene (a2) having a melt viscosity of 10.about.8,000 cps at 140.degree. C., modified with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof (b2). A toner prepared from a combination of the releasing composition and a thermoplastic binder resin exhibits improved flowability without reducing the offset temperature of the toner.
