Abstract
An extrusion interlock assembly provides for the joining of two or more extruded pieces at an interlocking joint that may be slideably mated to produce an easily assembled and disassembled assembly. On one side, the interlocking joint has a first channel mechanically connected to the first side, and a first flange adjacent to the first channel also mechanically connected to the first side. On the other side, the interlocking joint similarly has a second channel and a second flange, both mechanically connected to the second side. The second channel slidably receives the first flange, and the second flange slidably receives the first channel. A fastener laterally displaces the first flange away from the second flange, and the first channel away from the second channel, causing the first flange to frictionally engage the second channel, and the second flange to frictionally engage the first channel.
