Abstract

Azole derivatives, process for their preparation, and their use Azole derivatives of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which A, L, O, R.sup.1, X, Y, Z and q have the meanings given, process for their preparation, pharmaceutical preparations and the use of the compounds are described. Azole derivatives of the formula I where the symbols have for example the following meanings: PA1 R.sup.1 is (C.sub.2 -C.sub.10)-alkyl, PA1 Z is nitrogen, PA1 X and Y are independently of one another CR.sup.2, PA1 L is --CH.sub.2 --, PA1 q is zero or 1, PA1 A is a biphenyl radical which is substituted for example by R.sup.15, PA1 R.sup.2 is halogen or hydrogen, PA1 R.sup.15 is SO.sub.2 --NH--CO--OR.sup.6 and PA1 R.sup.6 is phenyl, are highly active antagonists of angiotensin II receptors.
