Abstract
The present invention relates to the novel quinolone carboxylic acid derivatives of the following formula (I) and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and their hydrates. ##STR1## wherein X is a hydrocarbon, fluorocarbon or nitrogen atom, PA1 Y is a hydrogen or methyl group, PA1 R.sup.1 is a hydrogen or alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atom, PA1 R.sup.2 is ##STR2## wherein A and B is a fluorocarbon or nitrogen atom, provided that, if A.dbd.CF, B.dbd.N and if A.dbd.N, B.dbd.CF) and PA1 R.sup.3 is ##STR3## (wherein R.sup.4 is an amino group which makes a racemate or (S)-enantiomer) or ##STR4## (wherein R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are respectively hydrogen or alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atom.). The compounds according to the present invention are used as antibacterial agents.
