Abstract

The invention relates to aqueous electrocoating baths containing synthetic resins capable of deposition on the cathode. The electrocoating baths according to the invention are characterized in that they contain a homopolymer or copolymer of an alkyl vinyl ether of the general formula CH.sub.2 .dbd.CH--O--R wherein R represents an alkyl radical having 2 to 4 C atoms.
