Abstract
In the process of the present invention, disilanes are reacted with hydrogen chloride in the presence of a catalyst comprising PA0 (A) palladium(O) or platinum(O), and PA0 (B) an organic compound selected from among tertiary amines, carboxamides, alkylureas, tertiary phosphines, phosphoramides, quaternary ammonium halides, quaternary phosphonium halides or mixtures thereof to give hydrogen-containing methylchlorosilanes.
