Abstract
A RE-TM-B magnet is produced by employing a circular tube placed between a upper punch and a lower punch, wherein a magnetic powder is loaded. After the loading, the powder is hot pressed in the tube by the action of the upper punch at a temperature of 400.degree. to 1000.degree. C. to produce an isotropic magnet compact. Subsequently, the compact may be hot worked at a temperature of 400.degree. to 1000.degree. C. to obtain an anisotropic magnet, if desired.
