Abstract
A computerized tomography (CT) system includes a stationary frame and an annular rotating frame. The CT system further includes a differentially driven transmission line attached to the rotating frame and positioned around the rotating frame. The differentially driven transmission line is made up of individual segments each having a respective first end and a respective second end and having a respective electrical length chosen so that a modulated signal simultaneously applied at each respective first end has a predetermined time-delay upon arrival at each respective second end. The individual segments are arranged so that respective first ends of any two consecutive segments are substantially adjacent to one another and respective second ends of any two consecutive segments are substantially adjacent to one another to avoid time-delay discontinuity in the modulated signal propagating therethrough. A transmission line shield is affixed to the transmission line and defines a passage for shielding the transmission line from electromagnetic radiation. A differential coupler is attached to the stationary frame and is positioned in the passage sufficiently near the transmission line fo…
