Abstract

Hydrofluoroalkanes are effectively stabilized against degradation caused by Lewis acids by addition of 0.001 to less than 0.1% by weight of at least one C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alcohol and/or of 0.001% to 0.5% of a C.sub.5 -C.sub.6 unsaturated hydrocarbon.
