Abstract
A photostable cosmetic composition for protecting the human epidermis against UV radiation comprises, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, from 0.5 to 5% by weight of 4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4'-methoxydibenzoylmethane and at least 0.5% by weight of a compound of formula (I): ##STR1## where R stands for an alkyl radical, the molar ratio of the compound of formula (I) to 4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4'-methoxydibenzoylmethane being 0.8 or over.
