Abstract
The connection between a support and a honeycomb structure defining a network of parallel cells is inspected by transmitting a beam of light into a first cell of the honeycomb structure by an optical fiber, termed an illuminating fiber, which is connected at one end to a light emitter, and simultaneously detecting any light which leaks from the first cell into an adjacent cell by an optical fiber, termed an observation fiber, which is connected to a converter converting light into an electrical signal.
