Abstract

A heat-developable photosensitive material for use in diffusion transfer process is disclosed, comprising a support having in one or more layers a hydrophilic binder, photosensitive silver halide and dye-providing compound represented by the following formula, EQU [A-(J.sub.1).sub.a -(X).sub.b ].sub.c -J.sub.2 -Dye which is capable of releasing [-(J.sub.1).sub.a -(X).sub.b ].sub.c -J.sub.2 -Dye residue upon cleavage in the presence of a silver ion or a soluble silver complex.
