Abstract
This invention relates to methods of x-ray diagnostic imaging the blood pool, liver, spleen and/or lymph system of a mammal comprising administering a contrast effective amount of a contrast agent having the structure: ##STR1## wherein: X is O, S or NR.sup.4 ; PA1 R.sup.3 is alkyl containing 1 to 17 carbon atoms or (CH.sub.2).sub.w CO.sub.2 R.sup.5 ; PA1 and R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, n and w are as defined herein.
