Abstract

Polylactide of the general structure I EQU (R.sup.1 --OCONH).sub.n --R.sup.2 (I) where PA1 R.sup.1 is a polylactide residue with a molecular weight of from 500 to 500,000 or a degree of polymerization, based on lactic acid units, of about 5 to 5500 and PA1 R.sup.2 is the n-functional radical of a tri-, tetra- or polyisocyanate.
