Abstract
The present invention provides peptides capable of stimulating neutrophils. In particular, the peptides prime neutrophils for a respiratory burst following treatment with N-formyl-L-methionyl-L-leucyl-Lphenylalanine. The peptides have an amino acid sequence substantially corresponding to amino acids 54 to 94 of FIG. 1 or a part thereof. These peptides may also be used in the treatment of a subject having depressed neutrophil function.
