Abstract
An antireflection film includes a first light-transmitting thin film formed on a substrate, and a second light-transmitting thin film formed on the first light-transmitting thin film. The first light-transmitting thin film contains a coloring material, and the antireflection film satisfies EQU .lambda.t-50 nm<.lambda.r<.lambda.t+70 nm where .lambda.r is the wavelength at which a spectral reflectance in a visible region is minimized, and .lambda.t is the wavelength at which a spectral transmittance in the visible region is minimized.
