Abstract

An apparatus for the treatment of solid particles having a substantially circular metal coil with at least two turns helically would around a vertical axis and a central shaft, a lateral pipe for introducing particles and a lateral pipe for drawing off particles, a low voltage current tapping point for heating a turn of the coil by Joule effect to 20.degree.-1000.degree. C., an assembly of two pipes with a lateral pipe for introducing a fluid and a lateral pipe for drawing off a fluid such that the fluid can flow through at least one turn of the coil and means for imparting vibrations to the shaft and coil to advance the particles.
