Abstract
A yellow ink composition for ink jet printing is composed of an aqueous solution which includes a water-soluble dye which containing (a) a dye compound of formula (I), ##STR1## and (b) at least one of a dye compound of formula (II) ##STR2## or a dye compound of formula (III) ##STR3## a surfactant, and a wetting agent. By use of this ink composition, a method of forming images on an image receiving medium is performed which includes the step of ejecting the aqueous ink composition in the form of droplets by the application of thermal or mechanical energy thereto onto an image receiving medium with a Stockigt size degree of 3 seconds or more.
