Abstract
A charge controlling agent for electrostatic image development, which is a compound of the formula (I): EQU Ar.sub.1 --(X--Ar.sub.2).sub.n (I) wherein each of Ar.sub.1 and Ar.sub.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring residue, X is a member selected from the group consisting of --CONH--, --NHCO--, --SO.sub.2 NH-- and --NHSO.sub.2 --, and n is an integer of at least 2, provided that a plurality of Ar.sub.2, or a plurality of X, are the same or different groups from one another, and toner and charge-imparting material employing the charge controlling agent.
