Abstract
An angiogenesis inhibitor comprising, as an active agent, Compound (I) represented by the formula below: ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is a lower alkyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group or a carboxyl group; and PA1 R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 maybe the same or different and represent a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a methoxy group or an acetoxy group. This compound has a remarkable angiogenesis inhibition activity, and an angiogenesis inhibitor useful for treatment of various diseases are provided.
