Abstract
A compound of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, halogen or C.sub.1-6 alkyl; PA0 R.sup.2 is a group of formula --CR.sup.3 R.sup.4 (CH.sub.2).sub.p NR.sup.5 COR.sup.6 ; PA0 R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen or C.sub.l-6 alkyl; PA0 R.sup.6 is C.sub.1-6 alkyl or C.sub.3-7 cycloalkyl; PA0 n is an integer of 2, 3 or 4; PA0 p is an integer of 1, 2, 3 or 4; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates thereof. A compound of formula (I) is useful in the treatment of conditions associated with a disturbed functioning of the melatonin system.
