Abstract

Disclosed is a clear cosmetic stick composition (e.g., a clear deodorant solid stick) having a base of polyhydric alcohol (e.g., propylene glycol) and/or monohydric alcohol (e.g., ethanol), and water, and gelled with sodium salt of saturated fatty acids of C.sub.12 -C.sub.22, and further including sodium chloride and stearyl alcohol. Inclusion of both sodium chloride and stearyl alcohol reduces crystal formation in the composition, thereby improving clarity and appearance of the composition.
